Bookkeeping services for small businesses
Everything we do is monthly and ongoing. You pay one flat fee for your plan and we do the work.
What is included
Monthly bookkeeping
We record and categorize every transaction in your books, reconcile your bank, credit card and loan accounts, and chase down anything we cannot match. We close each month by the tenth. This is the core of every plan.
Monthly financial reports
Each close comes with a profit and loss statement, a balance sheet and a cash summary, plus a short written note on anything unusual: a jump in costs, a slow-paying customer, a missing receipt.
Tax preparation support (we do not file returns)
We calculate your quarterly estimated tax figures from the books, keep your records organized for your return, and prepare a year-end package. We work with your CPA, or we can introduce you to one of ours. We do not file returns ourselves.
Catch-up and cleanup
If your books are behind by a few months or a few years, we bring them current first, then move you to the monthly plan. Cleanup is scoped after we have seen your accounts.
Payroll and sales tax coordination
We reconcile your payroll provider and your sales tax filings against the books so the numbers agree.
How the monthly close works
- We categorize your transactions and reconcile your accounts in your own QuickBooks Online or Xero file.
- Rachel Okonkwo reviews every client's close, and your named bookkeeper follows up on anything we could not match.
- By the tenth you have your profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash summary and a short written note.
Who these plans suit
Most of our clients have between one and twenty employees: contractors, consultants, retail shops, restaurants and online sellers. We work in QuickBooks Online and Xero and learn your setup rather than ask you to change it. Learn who does the work on the About page.
